Trauma has been defined as “an injury (as a wound) to living tissue caused by an extrinsic agent...a disordered psychic or behavioural state resulting from mental or emotional stress.”
Ask the Lord to speak to you today from His Word. And when He does, reply as young Samuel did so many years ago, “Speak, your servant is listening” (1 Samuel 3:10).
Take it from one who has learned this difficult lesson the hard way—keep a tight bridle on your tongue, relax, and settle for a good night’s sleep.

You need someone, and someone needs you. Isolated islands we’re not. To make this thing called life work, we must lean on and support one another in tangible ways.
In the light of that truth, grace throws our labels out the window! Praise His name.
God offers the deep riches of true knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. But it’s not found simply in books by brilliant authors and lectures of great orators.
Do the people closest to you stare in response to the insensitivity in your words? Or are they refreshed and encouraged by the gracious encouragement you offer?
Our difficult past can cause us to automatically distrust others and lose faith in the goodness of others. Traffic in love today, especially as it relates to those around you. Leave everything else to the Lord. He knows everything anyway.
