Because of the clear, accurate, and practical teaching of God’s Word by Chuck Swindoll and the resources of Insight for Living Canada, thousands of lives have been impacted. People have responded to Jesus’ challenges. They have become disciples and they have engaged in the task of making disciples.
I’m going to say it straight: If you are a believer and you are not actively participating in fulfilling the Great Commission, you are not obeying the Lord’s calling on your life.
Many of us can readily recreate a mental picture of the church we grew up in…the building, the people, and the preaching. Chuck Swindoll invites us to go back much further, to examine an original snapshot of the very first church.
At Insight for Living Canada, we are committed to discipleship—both being disciples and making disciples. We know Chuck Swindoll’s clear, accurate, and practical Bible-teaching have helped thousands, if not millions, of Canadians understand how to understand and apply God’s Word to their lives.
Jesus poured His life into 12 men, teaching, coaching, warning, and mentoring. And when He ascended into heaven, these disciples were not abandoned! The Spirit of God took over and became the fuel they desperately needed.
How long would it take to evangelize the world if we were to actually do what Jesus said and if each year every disciple made another disciple who made another disciple?
The reason we place our trust in Jesus is not to escape the horrific destiny of hell. According to Scripture, following Jesus means that we’re in a lifetime process of becoming more like Him. Be listening when Chuck Swindoll helps us remain focused on our primary mission.
Almost 35 years ago, Insight for Living Canada was established to help Canadians be disciples and make disciples—in other words, be someone who follows Christ and be someone who helps others follow Christ.
Just before His ascension into heaven, Jesus delivered a mandate to His followers commonly known as “The Great Commission.” Our goal is to discover how this decree from Jesus applies to life today.
